eugène says one can trust in chimneys, especially in the big ones like the japanese one of the picture, but even the ones in houses, he believes, with their clear and strong structure seems to demonstrate their integrity. not so long ago, he says, while travelling on the m1 to the north of england, his friend, who was driving the car and who used to do such journey frequently, showed to him two giant cooling towers (close relatives of chimneys) which were almost on the motorway. he told eugène they were good friends of his and eugène understood him perfectly, he introduced eugène to the towers but eugène never saw them again.
